Last night I noticed that my cat's tail was bent in the middle and hanging limp. It seems very sensitive to the touch. I need to know if it will heal on its own, or if I need to take her to the vet.
Thanks.

i am sure it would heal on its own and then you would have a cat who has a crooked tail.
best to take kitty to see the vet, you will be happy that you did the right thing.

take your cat to the vet to get evaluated....many times with a tail break, depending where and how it was broken, the vet my opt not to do any treatment and let it heal on it's own. However, the vet may also suggest surgery to repair it, or may want to amputate the tail.

It sounds to me as though her tail is broken; I would definitely get her to the vet to have it attended to. While it might heal on its own, there is always the chance of further injury from the bone ends, and of course I'm sure she is in some pain.

We had a cat that broke it's tail and the vet ended up cutting it off. The cat did just fine, and it was even still cute.

Don't take a chance that it MIGHT heal on its own. Take him to the vet just in case

take him to a vet, dont take the risk of letting it heal on its own, it might get worse. untill u take it to the vet, dont let the cat bump it and dont touch it.
