I am sure that it has a lot to do with the personal circumstances. But I do know that the rules have changed quite a bit. Women can no longer expect to keep dropping babies left and right and think they can live off endless welfare for years, and I am very glad about it because I am not too thrilled that my and my husband's hard-sweated and well deserved earnings are going into the pockets of people on welfare who often short-pot their kids and buy cigarettes, booze and other non-essentials. I've seen it happen and although they are trying to stop the misuse, it still goes on and is disgraceful

Depends on the situation. how many kids does she have. The more kids the more you will get. If she has a job then it will get cut down. One mother and One child whould possible get like 300 in foodstamps and like 800 n cash... Something like that an estimate.

It varies from state to state. In Colorado, it depends on how many children you have. For instance, a family of four would receive 456 and would receive about 500 in food stamps.

depends on the state & county she lives in. I applied for it 6 yrs ago when i was on maternity leave from having my daughter, but was turned down because i rec'd $600 in short term disability insurance per month, and that was more that I would have gotten from the state (Michigan).

Her rent will be paid, her utilities will be paid, and her food will be bought. She'll probably get a cash allowance for things like diapers, and toiletries. Hey for such a crappy life, must be nice to not worry about your bills getting paid...lol
