There is so much needless conflict (verbal and physical) caused because 'we' (as inhabitants of the same planet) seem collectively unable or unwilling to admit that whatever we believe could well turn out to be wrong.

If you genuinely care about other people, whatever your religion or beliefs, can you not admit this?

I'd really like to have responses from people of every religion, saying that the religion they follow may not be the truth.

I'll start:

I do not believe in any orthodox religion - and I may be wrong.

Over to you...............

This is NOT an anti-religious question, I'm trying to promote acceptance of other people's beliefs, whatever they are. It's when people get it in their heads that theirs is 'the ONLY way' that negotiations break down and disharmony takes over.

Why is admitting you may not be right so difficult?

I thought I was a Christan for over 30 years, I found out just a few years ago, I was taught wrong. I was not trained up, I was lead up. The people leading me, let me down. Now I'm being trained, and I can now lead, but not with my understanding but with Gods. I have a new faith in God. A new Anointing, A new love.
I know we all can be lead wrong, we have to have the teachings, the right teachings. I thank God, I can now apply what I have read in the bible, and be taught, that God is love, understanding, and he loves everyone, every color, with, or against him.
He will not ever pull away from anyone trying to understand his person. God is a person, not just a book, I have come to know the person of God. the book, is just a way I can get closer by others walking with him. And how they did it.
I am blessed. I know the truth, and it has set me free.
I was very wrong.

I belive so do majoroty of people and we dnt even think about beign wrong because too many things have happend in the past to make us beliver relgion is real and right, if it was not do you u really think people will practive and belive its wrong? down the years lot of people have experieced things that make them belive and never think its wrong, like miralces, having peace, change of fortunes , things like this happend often to people and they dont even want to think they and religion can b wrong, there has to be some power above us, people have to be judged because otherwise it wud be easy for some people to commit sin, lead a dishoneslt life, fraud etc and get away with it whereas other people lead honeslt life, do good deeds, go out of their way to help others, u see what im trying to say, there has to be somethign which judges you and for that it has to be God and Religion and its common sense not to say we can be wrong.

The only truths are those that can be proven . A philosopher once said he believed in a big teapot circling the universe controlling everything. The point being , this is just as plausible as any other belief, in any God or Gods ! None or these things can be decided, it`s not called BLIND FAITH for nothing !

I can't believe how stubborn people are been answering this question. I believe in God. I have been reading the Bhagavad Gita recently and I believe Krishna is God. Of course we could all be wrong about God,. I chose to believe in and accept Krishna as God because everything I have learnt about him makes sense and the Bhagavad Gita was written a long time before the bible, I believe it's the closest to the truth we will ever get

the mane problem.; The problem has been the death of the prophets, they had the authority to speak with God and find answers to mans problems, then tell the congregation, when a prophet dies proper communication is cut off. Then the congregation splits over arguments on biblical points,so you get many different churches, also satan infiltrates and makes things worse then anti gods create idol worship, totaly false religeons, they were what we now call politcians, the old days they were false priest, but they have not realy changed in thousands of years.

Yep.I hope I'm wrong.I don't believe in anything anymore.I don't think admitting one might be wrong is not believing in their religion.People adamantly believed the earth was flat. They were wrong(I know,over-used example, but it works).Saying there are other possibilities doesn't cancel out faith,it just means there are other possibilities. Many people have had no faith in me over the years and I've proven them wrong to some extent.

I see all organized religions as bureaucracies invented and run by people for purposes other than spirituality or enlightenment... but I could be wrong about the inspiration for them.

And, I totally agree with you! but since I'm an agnostic, your points are a fundamental part of my belief system - there is no right or wrong about faith (including atheism), just what is and no one on the planet knows conclusively what that is. :)

sorry to let you down but I did meet with Jesus and I'm going to say that He didn't lie when he said he is the only way to the father. But in the spirit of this question, I do believe that most people who honestly follow their own faiths are really great people, and I'd be mates with anyone who accepts what I believe the same way I try to live and let live.

Of course my beliefs may be wrong. I believe All beliefs may be wrong, (of course I could even be wrong about that). That is why skepticism is so important. But I don't have a religion all my beliefs are obtained from my own thought process.

I can easily admit that I am wrong

I can admit to the possibility that G-d dose not exist. Will it do anything to change my lifestyle? Probably not considering that I do the things I do not only because I believe that its a divine commandment but also that I think is for the betterment of myself and society.

thanks for the question. Maybe some people will realize that they dont know everything
