Call a local welfare office & tell them you need help with daycare expenses. There is a program called subsidized childcare or something like that. They can give you the number. You can actually let a family member watch your child too & they will pay for that.

The welfare office is the basic place to start, but call daycare centers around you & ask if there are other agencies that help out any of their parents. Places like the Y and community centers usually have their own financial aid as well.

If I knew were in New York were you lived I could tell you. But since I dont go to the Department of Social Services and tell them that you are in need of daycare asistance. They go by your income 160% ratio to income I know this because I do day care and am paid by new york state dept of social services. It is a pain in the but during the whole process but well worth it in the end.
If you would like you can email me at bonz6936@yahoo.com if you want more information!
Good luck

Social Services can help with vouchers and with referrals to day cares in your area. If you already have a center in mind for your child, contact the head teacher and present your question to her. She will point you in the right direction.
