Previously I asked the question is separation a worthy opponent?

The body of Christ remains separated into denominations, and often here I see questions about doctrines everyone knows cause Christians to be separated.

Here it states as in many other places in the NT separate is wrong.

Do you just accept this state of affairs caused by a few who desire to weaken and control us, is that not the desire of the prince of the air.

Will you continue in this weakened state.

Is separation a worthy opponent or do you accept defeat.

Separation took place early in the 1st century church as well. The Corinthian church, to which you refer, was separated into cliques, which hindered to fellowship, testimony and effectiveness of that church.

Also, 1 John 2 tells us of some who "...went out from us because they were not one of us..." Schism is a fact of history and of life. However, many of us are learning to live with our trivial differences and not permit those things to divide us.

Too, you would need to define the nature of the unity you seek. Unity for unity sake should not be the goal. Unity, in truth, is that which we seek.

And, the unity for which Christ prayed is fulfilled in the invisible church universal, where every true believer in Christ is one spiritually with all other true believers.

I applaud your question.

Because good, well meaning people respectfully disagree on some important doctrinal issues.

On the up side, aren't you happy that there is more than one color?!
