Not until there is a huge public out cry by the legal citizens. The only reason we are going to get a border fence built is because of the people that wrote, called e-mailed and faxed their politicians in state and federal government. We have been silent too long thinking that the government would take care of the problem. But they haven't.Neither party will do anything until they are forced to by angry constituents from their districts.
Both party's are only interested in one thing and that is lining their own pockets with money. Both party's are lying to us right now so don't believe them .They are making promises they can not keep to the illegals and the legal Americans.A grass roots organization must show them we mean business and either do as the majority of this nation wants or be looking for a new job after the elections. This mid term is important but 2008 is a must win for all legal Americans in the name of the
sovereignty of this nation and her people.

It's a head-scratcher...there's been a lot of rhetoric, but not a lot of action on the issue...some states have decided independently that they'll start taking care of things, and their local measures have started to have a noticeable effect. But, neither DNC nor GOP has stood up and loudly declared 'ANTI-illegal immigration'.

This isn't the only issue out there, either, it's a long-term, chronic problem, one that'll best be addressed by citizens continuing to take issue with it at the state level, I think...the more states that work together on it, the closer we'll be to having a nationwide consensus to build good policy with.

Illegal immigration is still illegal, and its' potential impact is pretty substantial if it's not dealt with properly and thoroughly...

No. There's a mix in both parties. To be honest we are going to have to keep a real close eye on every bill that comes up because I'm afraid they are going to attach little riders onto bills to undermine what the people want. The bill may have nothing to do with immigration but they slip little things to dilute the main issue. It could be taxes and they'll tuck something from amnesty in there to make it through. That way they will never have to make a stand. Or maybe they might get tough and throw in something like chipping everybody under the guise of "national security". It's in the details and they will be testing us.

When you refer to illegal immigration issues remember that for every group of illegal immigrants there are a group of Corporations and politicians that promote the hiring of these immigrants and cut out the American worker. There are illegal immigrants only because politicians do nothing about Corporations that hire them and many politicians have interests in these corportations and many own them too. The problem has always been growing and is not new. It just seems worse since all the factories are outsourced to China that we are beginning to feel the preciousness of jobs in America. Outsourcing, corporate hiring of illegals, being sold out by companies that don't want to pay taxes, people in America too lazy to work, spoiled Americans that don't want jobs immigrants do, etc. are all part of the equation. It is not so simple as just someone wandering across a border to work for cheap wages. Someone hires them to cut out the American worker and is killing the American standard of life that is dwindling because of this New World Order. Our government and corporations have sold your life to foreign interests and their own greed. Don't blame the immigrants looking for a better life. This country was stolen from the native Americans that were exterminated for the greed that has never ceased. We reap what we sow.

Right now, we should be focused on the REAL PROBLEM, the Red Hat Ladies. They're ignored because the crime they cause isn't noticeable. Once everyone else notices how disgusting they are, it'll be too late and the damage they would've done would be far from fixable.
