Actually, I'd rather have every issue of reader's Digest ever printed... and stay there on the Island!

im not sure how the encyclopedias would help you get off the island...And you dont need a bible to wait for Jesus...I would probably take the encyclopedias though..so I could burn the pages to make fire. Much more pages to burn and I wouldnt burn a bible.

Bible.
By Reading it Everyday you will Get FAITH in your Spirit.
By Praying you will Fill up With GOD (Love).
Put the Two Together (Faith works by Love) and you could Learn to Walk on The Water and get Back to Civilization.
GOD would permit This (Faith works by GOD) because it would be a NEED.
GOD meets our NEEDS.
But, can't be any Boats around that you could Flag Down.
Your Need then would be a Flag!

encyclopedias, the bible's language would eventually give me a headache when I'm already in distress and also Jesus may not be set to come for me for another five years

I highly doubt the ecyclopedias would be able to help you figure out a way to get you off of the island, I'd choose them for the simple fact that they would contain more burning paper to start a fire with
