you can promote its healing by making it "point." get a warm compress and warm it about 5-6 times a day for about 15 mins a time. this will make the sty point. the sooner it points, the sooner it will pop and drain and the sooner it will heal. be careful about not spreading the bacteria once it does point. keep it very clean, otherwise you may get more! if you notice the area starts to get really red and painful, go to the doctor. you may also want to go to the doctor for an antibiotic ointment for once it does pop. hope this helps!

You can try hot wet compresses. As warm as you can stand it without burning yourself...several times a day.
I wouldn't use anything on the sty if it could potentially get in the eye itself...unless it's an opthamalic ointment.

there is no surgical procedure for a sty
it is just an imflammed "pustule" on your eye lid
warm compresses
dont touch it
if it is really red and swollen ask your pharmacist for the best ointment

They say if you rub a sty with a gold wedding ring it gets rid of it.

IF YOU HAVE A GOLD RING, JUST SWIPE IT ACROSS THE STY A FEW TIMES AND IT WILL BE GONE THE NEXT DAY.

I'm assuming it isn't really on your eye ball but on the upper or lower lid.
Use a little neosporin on the skin where it is every morning and evening till it's gone.

Try a hot compress. That reduces it's size and helps rid of it faster.

Rub Gold on it and it will draw away the infection and it will go (this works).

It will go away in time, no surgery needed. It just sucks for awhile.
