I've always been fascinated with how people live in England. Here in America, everything seems more rough-and-tumble. England seems more civilized, but kinda strange. What's life like in England? I would like to know about life in London versus life in smaller towns. Thank you! :-)

Summer days are long - excellent if you like sport, but they are very short in winter. I found winter days quite depressing because everything is black- black trees (no leaves) black clothes people wore, black rooves of houses. But when spring arrives and you see the first daffodil of spring and trees start getting their leaves, and the sky is blue, I can't describe the feeling of elation.

I often think of returning to London because of the nightlife and the art and museum exhibitions. It's also close to Europe (2 hours on a train gets you to Paris)

The big downside for me (as a school teacher) was the poor attitudes of the young people (they all seemed to have an ambition to be criminals, drug dealers or rappers)

I enjoyed life in London and would return if my family would come with me

Erm, it depends wot part of town you're from. The country is quite lovely but there are like, GANGSTAS in certain parts of London as there are druggies. Then again, the night life in London is AMAZING.

Still, overall the chaps are quite polite :). Just avoid the "bad areas" and you will find that England is a pretty decent place with exceptionally friendly folks.
