Why would you choose to worship this monster you call "all loving" when in his stupidity, the creating of mankind, he placed many different characteristics in which we would judge one another by causing more hate in this world than any other thing known to man? PREJUDICE is the biggest obstical to progree in Man using his intellect to make this world a happy continuum. Diversity and RELIGIOUS difference is what has stood in the way of PEACE & Progress for ages. ACCEPTANCE comes when one relinquishes their own affliction which has predominately been the passing of what man teaches to his children-Jesus Mohammed Buddah whoever all spoke of class distinction rich and poor-BUT THE CONSTITUTION is the first document that states ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL-and yet you will chose YOUR religious belief over THE AMERICAN WAY-Your religion tells you to conform to your God or Burn-THAT'S A LOVING GOD? All men are created equal, that doesn't mean that they live equally.
God didn't create mankind so they would have prejudices. He created mankind so that they would have free will and man chooses to judge other and not have peace. Man chooses to sin and destroy lives.
I think you should be talking to those who are fighting against peace by committing crimes and acts of violence.
God is jealous because he doesn't want his own children, people who have decided to call him father and live their life to serve him in order to enjoy eternal life, he doens't want them to be tossed around by the evils of this world.
If (I don't know if you are) are a father to 3 children and you love them will all your heart, would you let them run into the street and be taken away by another man? No, because you are jealous, you would keep them from anything that would take them away from you. You also don't want them to claim someone else as their father. If your children were ever to deny you and say that you don't really love them after all you've done by working long days to bring home food and clothe them, that would hurt you so much.
THat is how God is, so I can't relinquish my God so that I can join the beliefs of this world. What will that get me when I die. A better tombstone? No thanks. As a christian, I can understand and be kind to others who don't believe what I do or don't act the way I do, but I won't do what they do and act the way they act.
You don't have to follow the Christian way, but because God is in full control, won't it be safer to do what the captain of the ship says and live than to follow the passengers to your death?

I find it ironic that its the purported atheists who always blame God for everything in the world, while its the people who believe in God who say Man is resposible for what is wrong in the world. What is more likely to result in a better future, the religious people who take responsibility for their faults and the problems in the world, or the "atheists" who refuse to accept responsibility for their own faults or the problems of the world, but instead blame everything on what they claim is an "imaginary" God. Wars have been faught in the name of religion, but they've been faught for every other purpose aswell including the atheism espoused by communist countries, who also fought amongst themselves, inspite of no religions being present. The worst genocides and attrocities in all history were commited in the last century by these athiest nations. Whether the Khmer Rouge, Stalins Purges, Mao's Cultural Revolution or Even Hitler who suppressed the church and based his genocidal policied on the beliefs of darwinists and athiests and secular progressives to justify his actions. Where as Religion has unified nations, and allowed nations who have warred amonst themselves to find some common ground in the end. It was faith that inspired the civil rights movement under Martin Luther King and others, not atheism. The statement that the Constitution is the first document to express the idea that all men are created equal is both false and ludicrous. Atheism is the most intollerant religion of all, resposible for the worst atrocities in history and has offered the world nothing of positive value whatsoever , and yet its practitioners are the most holier than though, most beligerant and most intollerant. But they are not intollerant of bad behaviour, sin or crime, they are only intollerant of people that believe differently than they do

The Bible defines Hell as separation from God. If someone doesn't want to be with God, he doesn't force them. Yes, there is fire and crying and gnashing of teeth..all that stuff...but most of that is a result of being separated from the God who created and sustains all life.
As for religion standing in the way of progress, that's MAN's fault, not God's. Place the blame where it belongs. Man often twists ideas to his own advantage in whatever situation he finds himself...or what he thinks to be his own advantage, anyway. That's what causes many of our problems, not God.

That's a mistranslation. "Jealous" can mean either wrongly wanting something that belongs to another or RIGHTLY wanting to keep something that belongs to you. If a man got angry when his wife flirted with other guys, would you call that a character flaw? If a father got angry when a child called another man "daddy" would that be a character flaw?
Before you criticize, do your research. Because you're lashing out the way you are in your post, YOU are the one now causing strife. You are also being a prejudiced biggot by quickly generalizing and attacking all Christians and our God.

If everything had been created exactly the same....all people exactly the same, with no variances on looks, beliefs, ideas....what would be the point really? People are to blame for their own actions and most of this boils down to selfishness, which comes from Satan, if you believe in that sort of thing. ;o) Also, humans judge perfection from human standards....we have a finite ability to really understand God. Sorry you're having such a hard time.

You have the wrong idea. God is love. Love is a temple. Love is a higher law, only those uncapable of love can't possibly understand the infinite possibilities of love, the free will of choice, the glory of walking in His love. I love God, I wish u could too.
What u mention is manmade. If the inhabitants of earth chose to be all loving, guess what> This earth would be all loving. But that's why it is called heaven.

That's our fault, not His.
When we go ahead and sin and be selfish against His commandments, there are going to be consequences.
It is not that God directly sends punishment, but when we ignore the laws of reality and morality He has laid out, we suffer because breaking laws have their own consequences.
It is similar to the principle that if we decide to ignore the law of gravity and jump off a tall building, we will pay the price.

Man makes his own problems by trying to play God and be God.
God did not make us like animals but gave us free will. Look at what mankind uses his freewill for and blame things on that.
