Poor doggy sounds like he's sick or has some sort of allergy. Take him to the vet.

Most shelter dogs come with 1 free vet visit. You might want to use it for this.
There are always nasty little things dogs can get in a shelter - kennel cough, parvo, etc. Even if a dog has had vaccines, they can occasionally get what they were vaccinated against.
If it's an allergy, dogs will usually have red, inflamed ears and shake their head.
Or it could just be a cold. :)

Usually when a dog's nose is dry it means that the dog has a fever. I suggest taking the dog to the vet to get it on some medication. It probably has a cold.

I would take him to the vet if you are worried but also remember that dogs noses are not always wet! A dry nose does not necessarily mean something is wrong.

For goodness sake take him to a vet. He more than likely has kennel cough and he will need antibiotics. It is not a fatal disease, but it sure is hard on dog and owner as they sound like they're coughing up their toenails, and it can last quite a while.

He just has a cold. It is getting much colder outside. Think about letting is fur get long, and when you take him outside, get him a coat. Not to dress him up and make him look like a toy, but so he keeps warm. Also, if his conditions stay the same or grow worse, take him to the vet immediatley! I hope I helped!

He could have kennel cough. Many dogs get that when they are really stressed. Take it to a vet and see what's wrong.

Sounds like an allergy to me. Check with a vet. If so, you may can treat him with OTC antihistamines, but see the vet first.
