carry about $1500 dollars extra. for the foreign countries and for on the boat. alcoholic beverages are not included in the cost of the trip. everything at the bar must be purchase. there are stores for the purchase of memoirs. there is jewelry you can buy. also there is a photo gallery for purchasing of pictures taken by the crew photographers. there are auctions, in case you intend to take part in one, and gambling, so of course you will have to pay for these activities and also for tips. if you want to tip the crew.you will have to put the money you intend to spend on a card give to you called the sail nd sign card. this card is very important, not only for purchases put also to get into your room and for exiting and reentering the boat.

You will register with a credit card when you are checking in and you will receive an ID card which can be used like a credit card while onboard the ship. You will have to pay for any alcohol, or soda you drink. If you gamble, sorry you gotta pay cash for that too, and any personal items you purchase onboard, ie., tee shirts, trinkets, souvenir cups etc. The of course your tips to the crew. But thats up to each individual. You do not pay for food and entertainment. I generally bring $100 per day per person, but I always end up hitting the ATM so my husband wont know how much I lost at the casino. Good Luck and Have a Super time on the cruise. Regards KG

I have travelled for the last 10 years on cruises and I think I have the money and dressings down to a science. Between drinks, tips, excursions, and gambling (casino or bingo), it will cost you and your husband $150 per day. So if you are traveling for 7 days x $150.00 = $1,050.00. Any questions, please feel free to contact me at dena@thecruiseplanner.com

At LEAST a thousand bucks extra. Drinks get charged to your card, gift shop stuff gets charged to the card, arranged shore excursions get charged to your card. We ended up with an almost $900 bill after one week! Then there's miscellaneous like buying stuff at ports, lunches in cafes, cab rides, it all adds up VERY quickly.
But I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Depends how how much you drink, how many excursions you want to take and how many gifts you plan on buying.
Be careful and don't loose your $$ at the blackjack table!
