I didn't have one in my life but if I did I would want her to be a real person, meaning she would make mistakes just like every body else. And I would forgive her these mistakes and love her anyway, just like she would love me.

the answer to this question is very simple if you have had a mother like mine then the answer is a big fat definite no she was evil mean spite full and couldn't raise a dog but if you have a mother that guides you through life with the best of intentions then i am sure a mother will sacrifice life its self to make sure everything is "right"
i myself have havent always been right with my own kids i have five but i will do anything to help define there roles as "good people"

The older I get, the more right I realise she has always been! I discuss everything with my Mum, I don't always agree but I think there is a lot to be said for life experience. And in the infamous words of Baz Luhrmann : "Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth."

Mothers are older and wiser...they have been your age, and have made many mistakes and have had many successes. Why not learn from their mistakes and successes and save yourself a lot of heartache. Mothers are human, and they make mistakes too; however the sayings "Listen to your mother", and " Whenever you don't listen to your mother, bad things happen" seem to be true most of the time.In the end, we all turn into our mothers anyway, and eventually we will be saying these sayings to our children as well.

Considering that she got here before you did, and probably has had great insights due to her living life and getting loads of practise, then more than likely the answer is yes. However, viewpoints always differ, hence the difficulties between mother and children when they get older especially as they are fighting to create their own independence.

Unfortunately, yes she is most of the time, but I will still stand their and argue that black is blue, even when I know she's right, because I don't like being told "I told you so", I really hate those words.
If your young, they are always wrong, because you know best, as I used to think like that, but then as you get older, you were the one in wrong looking back.
All the best.
