i dont understand... my frind has gorgous long, naturally wavy hair, and she spent her first entire paycheck to get some world's best straightner...
not to mention girls get up at like to straihgnten theri hair evryday.. but half of it ends up staticky, dry looking.. and NOT them....
maybe its just me... but wy alter yourslef to something your not?? and take great leaps to do it too?

I dont think straight is the standard of beauty.. I agree it is a big trend, and a lot of girls dont take the time to use a styling product that protects the hair from heat tools, so their hair ends up icky... But anyways, I've seen a lot more trends going towards beautiful voluminous hair... like an old hollywood glamour vibe... Don't worry about what others do, just do what you feel is best for you. My thoughts exactly. I've got curly hair and I love it. I don't see the point in putting so much time, effort, and money into changing your hair. Girls are just damaging it with the straighteners and it probably looked fine to begin with.
Piggy-backing off this idea, same thing with weight. Girls these days are so obsessed with being stick thin. Its disgusting and unbelievable (not to mention sad) how common it is to see an "ana" or "mia".

You've got it right. If God gives you beautiful curls why harm your hair and pay someone to do it? It's beautiful and these days all things are in style. It's really got to do with we want what we don't have and it's a shame. We are fine the way we are. So, you need to go by yout gut instinct, and be who you are because that is the best you can be.

Unfortunatly, society dictates what is 'In'. Personally, I love when someone has naturally wavy or curly hair. You can almost always tell when someone has curled or straightned their hair. When you talk to your friend, comment on how beautiful her hair is when it's wavy. Help boost her confidence in how she looks naturally.

i get where you are coming from but have you ever considered that people do it cause it makes them feel good to know that it makes them feel good also it i svery good to have good hygene and self beauty than to ignor it and not take care of yours self and people at my school like all kinds of stuff like right now cremping is a huge thing!!
