Lint or dust on the negative while the print was being made and a sun flare on the lens are the two most common causes.

Lint or dust on the negative would prevent light from reaching the paper causing a white spot in development of the print.

most orbs are no more than dust or moisture
new high speed cameras are catching them more and more

there is something called spirit lights and this is thought to be the first manifestation of spirit though
but these can be seen with the naked eye or with older slower film
