I had braces for four years...and what they will do is probably slowly taking some off...they will let you go for a while without the bands and see if your teeth shift or not...then when they're sure nothing is going anywhere they will take them off

May be but even when they come off you have to wear retainers and that might be for a year or so.My daughter that had them said the retainers were worse than the braces to wear.

lolol
I've been told that about eight times in the past year.
It depends on whether or not you've been doing everything the ortho's been saying.

Wear your rubberbands, brush 2-3 times daily, DON'T EAT JAWBREAKERS (not that I'VE ever done that..... tee hee...),
all the little stuff, and you should be able to get them off soon.

Of course, it really depends on how messed up your teeth were to begin with.

Translation:
No clue!
Sorry. I know it's frustrating!
Trust me....do I ever know...
Grr.
Hang in there!

probably not, you need to give your teeth time, so they stay the way they are, even if they are straight, if you took the braces of they could move, and then you'd have to get them again, don't worry, they will tell you when your getting them off.
