I just moved to Colorado because my brother's girlfriend has a spa and I am a massage therapist. So there was a job here waiting for me. My brother also said he had some jobs for me to do for him. I will be living with them. The problem is, we don't get along that well... he's not the brother I remembered if you know what I mean. But now I feel screwed because I have to stay here and make money in order to do anything else! It's a difficult situation because my brother is paying me, but I am living with them. What should I be responsible for? What chores and the like should I do so my brother feels like he is not being taken advantage of, and what should I expect from him? I hate this situation, but now I just have to make the best of it and make the most money I can so I can leave!!! Help Me!

I don't feel that you should feel as though you HAVE to stay there...and also - in terms of household chores, I would treat it like you were a roomate and if you still aren't sure what to do - mention it to him. The fact that you would even bring that up to him would not make him feel like u were taking advantage but that you're trying to be a good house or roomate. In the meantime, if you're not happy living there, then look at other job opportunities like other spas and such so that u can get enough money to move out to a place that would make u happier. That or doing massage therapy outside - ie - going to offices, etc. There are lots of companies that do that. That may get you some more income?

good luck!

For a star, pull your own weight, when you use a plate wash it, do your own laundry, help keep the home clean. Try not to get in their way or interfeir with what used to be their normal way of living.
One sure way to put an end to the questions is to actually talk to him, he is your brother and thats something that does put an advantage in you. Ask him how you could help, and how you would not complicate life for him, his girlfriend, and yourself. I would suggest talking and put away the suspictions from either side.
