My new puppy, 4 months old. seems to have a b.m. alot! About 6 or 8 times a day. I am feeding him a vet approved kibble, in the appropriate amount. My other dog, 10 years old, potties once a day? They are both boston bull dogs. Is this normal? I have only had adult dogs, this is my first time with a puppy.

NO! This is not normal. If you have had the dog checked for worms then you need to make some changes to his diet. Go natural, go holistic. Some of my favorite include (they aren't holistic tho)
Diamond Naturals (naturals only) http://www.diamondpet.com/products/diamond_naturals/
Royal Canin

Natures Recipe (this might be the one I would recommend for your lil guy)

***ALSO, try adding a tsp of natural Apple cider vinigar to a gallon of water for a few days, and see if that dont make a huge difference
Here are some facts if you'd like

If all this doesnt work... well I'd be suprised- lol

I am telling ya, on a good diet, even the pups dont poop much. I have one that is 60lbs at 6 mos, make 2 little poops twice a day, and as long as it not raining... I dont HAVE too pick up her poop from the yard... it turns to dust in 2 days!
Good luck!

SORRY! I had too ad, many vets are endorsing products that have corn as a first ingredient, or products that have preservatives and other crap. Just think, what does corn do to you? My vet took one look at my dogs and asked what I was doing different... she has now changed what she feeds her dogs too.

Check out my 6 mos. old pup... nice muscle tone for a baby, huh?

I wouldn't worry about it as long as its not very loose. I have a 4 month old puppy who poops about 6 times a day. If its loose i would call a vet. Good luck with your puppy.

This is totally normal...he will get to be more regular and need less bathroom breaks as he ages by about 1 year he will just need it every 8 hours or so. good luck. A good site is www.veterinarypartner.com.
