Conservative CEOs have a surprise for you after you vote Republican:

America's largest companies could save $58 billion a year by moving nearly 1.5 million back-office jobs overseas over the next decade, according to research conducted by The Hackett Group, a business consultancy.

That translates to $116 million in annual savings and the transfer of nearly 3,000 full time-equivalent jobs abroad for the typical Fortune 500 company, Hackett says in a report to be released Nov 7. Hackett provided a summary of the report to InformationWeek.

Happy job hunting!

I have another surprise for many. After elections the Republicans will try again to end Social Security. They have always had that goal. Now with a $9 trillion national Debt projected over the next ten years and the $2 trillion for the Iraq war. Someone will pay. You see the Republicans don't care if your Mother and Father Starve and live in the streets. They only care about tax cuts for the wealthy and more tax cuts for the Corporations.

I got news for you. Jobs move overseas because of things like high tax rates (democrats) high minimum and union wages (democrats) and EPA regulations (democrats).

However, a lot of them come back when the company figures out that having people that don't speak English handle Customer Service is a dumb idea, or having sensitive equipment made by people unaccustomed to precision work is a dumb idea.

Me, personally, I'm self-employed in a recession-proof industry. The only thing that could happen to my job is if the democrats nationalize all real estate and institute 100% inheritance taxes.

Ah come on Reba. I am a Republican and I am no more in favor of sendig jobs overseas than you are. Damn gal it was Bill Clinton and the Republicans that pushed through NAFTA and GATT. There is plenty of blame to go around in this sorry mess. A pox on both parties for what they have done to us and a bigger pox on you for letting the Democrats off scott free because they pushed for it as hard as the Republicans did.

If you are going to refuse to vote for any one who supported these treaties then by gum you are going to exclude a whole passels of Democrats also. What is it about "double standard" you don't understand?

I get your point you hate Republicans, I saw most of your questions. Will they, maybe who the hell know anymore. What I want to know is, are Democrats going to do any better? If a Democratic president is elected in next election, is the country all of sudden gonna be great. I'm Republican, and i'm tired of all the cross fire, yes I hated the way our country is going but I really dont believe that one side is going to do better then the otherside. Politicians are politicians which translates into, crap is crap. They both suck.

Nope. I build ships for the United States Navy.

But, next time the Dems get in office, I am sure they will try to disband the Armed Forces, and cozy up to Iran & North Korea and give them everything that they want.
