No, as long as he's really trying to quit (knowing it bothers you)...it's very hard to quit smoking - the worse thing you can do is nag someone about it - just give him props for trying...he's doing not only you but himself a favor...and be patient with him whiles he going through that - it sure ain't easy.

No at least he is making a effort to change for you so if he's having a difficult time stopping then keep in mind that he has to want to stop smoking and that he is doing the best he can against his will but for the love he has for you.

well the thing is why would wont to tell him to stop something it should be his choice not yours it would be allot better if he was the one that made the decision and u should be happy he is trying and not telling u to get lost . i wish i could quit but it is not easy at all it is the only thing i do that is not health. so i hope u to can work it out and he is able to quit on his own terms good luck

Hello Char-char,

It is very hard to quit smoking. Tobacco (and nicotine) is a very addictive drug, that is very difficult to kick. Plus it's so much a part of a person's life it is hard to change that. I hope that you're giving him the encouragement that he needs and not just nagging him. Good luck.

No it shouldn't really bother you, because you know he is trying to quit because YOU told him to. He loves you enough to try and quit. Let it slide girl. He'll quit for you. If he still does it, i guess he's doing it to try and relieve stress. You should give him some time to quit. I'm sure he'll stop soon enough.

quitting smoking sometimes is harder than one thinks...you should be proud he has cut back for you and eventually tries to quit it is unhealthy and he knows that but it is also an addiction hopefully you are a strong rock and encourage him cuz thats what he needs

no it shouldnt bother you, you asked him to stop and he is trying. cold turkey doesnt always work with quiting. you have to give it time for him to ween himself off of it and be free of smoking completly. if anything you should be supportive instead of having it bother you.

If it bothers you so much, you can end the relationship and find someone who is a non-smoker.
