I had an eye op, three weeks ago, It isnt right, and dosnt appear to be healing as it should. The eye drops that have been prescribed have started to sting intensely, they havent been up until yesterday.Could this be a reaction to the ointment or something else? Anyone have any ideas?

I can't believe this ever has to be said ONCE, let alone repeated over and over a thousand times a day:

CALL YOUR DOCTOR! Don't seek medical advice from strangers on the Internet, especially about an acute problem!

it is possible that your eye has just become completely irritated by the eye drops and you need to contact your optomistrist immediately. the ointment would have reacted during its first days of contact with the eye drops. but then again it could also just be that your eye is healing fine and you have nothing to worry about. im not an optomistrist, i am a doctor, who hates eyes. but i do stress the fact of contacting your optomistrist asap.

yes, it could be that you need to go see the doctor that did the operation, sounds like it is irritated, and needs to be looked at as soon as possible, if you get an infection in your eye, you could lose your eye sight in that eye, so by all means go see the doctor who did the operation ASAP.

The wise thing to do would be to ask your doctor. Any doctor as fast as possible.

Please by all means call the doctor who operated. He is the only one to answer such a serious question.
