When has the Catholic Church ever been against torture? For example The Crusades, The Inquisition, and Salem Witch Hunts. They still use the celice and self flagellation for "repentance." Remember, this is a religion that glorifies the crucifixion and not the resurrection.

Because there is no torture policy. The Bush Administration is using coercive interrogation. While that is harsh, none of the techniques constitute actual torture.

Whether we like Bush, or not----------whether is he a religious fanatic and a very stupid man, or not-----------whether he and his cohorts lie and steal, or not------he is still a very powerful man. They do not oppose powerful men.

Thank goodness we only have 2 more years of him---------but, I wonder how much more he can to in that length of time to hurt the USA and the world.
