Some may say 'Ignoramus', but that implies being ignorant, or unknowing. Some might say 'Moron', but that implies that you are not at fault by reason of being mentally deficient.
"Creationist" implies a hypocrite who ignores every single piece of scienctific evidence, often, while using the fruits of scientific discovery, to spread his lies and deception. It implies a foul fellow who is willing to blithely place their trust in a religious text which has no science in it. It implies a fool who puts their trust in people who have an agenda to lie and decieve for their own aggrandisement. Is there any more foul insult than calling someone a creationist?

You're going to get told that this isn't a question, it's just a rant, and by people who are probably right. Can't you phrase genuine challenges to people with creationist beliefs without answering your own question?

There is more than just one type of Creationist belief - there are creationists as you have described above (in rather harsh terms, I have to say) who believe that the world was literally created in 6 days. However, there are also people out there who believe in Evolutionary Creation. These people believe that God created the universe and all life through the process of evolution. Now, before you say that evolution goes against Genesis, The Bible is not always a literal text - a lot of it, especially the New Testament, is often literal AND historic, but some of the stories in the Old Testament are allegories. Those who study the Bible closely, understand this, and accept that scientific evidence shows a process occurred with life on this planet. However, one thing that science cannot disprove is that God was behind that process.
I hope this has given you some more information on which to base your opinions on creationism.

I would be proud if someone called me a creationist. It would mean, for me at least, that I firmly abide to the Word of our Lord, and the amazing revelation of science that is in it. Yes, there is science in it, from linguistics (Tower of Babel), to prophecy (the book of Daniel correctly predicts the exact number of years between the exile of the Jews by the Romans to the foundation of the new Israel in 1948).
There is an increasing amount of evidence for creationism. For example is the 'tower of cards' theory. This states there are certain mechanisms such as cell structure which need all component parts to exist together or it would not work. This means SUCH A COMPLEX STRUCTURE COULD NOT HAVE OCCURRED BY CHANCE! Just as if you remove one card from a card tower and it will fall, you take one piece of this mechanism out and it will fail.
Also, as a creationist I still believe in science. Creationism is about refuting evolution, not science as a whole. I would say for this part then it is you who is the ignoramus- you miss the point completely. Just believing what evolutionists/teachers/parents/friends/the media say about it is NOT right or fair. Try actually reading some Creationist magazines/websites/literature and you will see.

What about the word "fool". That is what God calls somebody like you who think this universe just happen. Psalms 14: 1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. Psalms 19: 1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Hey, Mate , will you please show me some transitional fossils?Evolution is much a faith based religion as Christianity. You have to believe there was a "Big Bang",you have to believe monkeys came from fish although there is no evidence ,no not one piece. There are fish and there are monkeys but no Funkeys . There are NO fossils showing one transition to another. There is evolution WITHIN a species adapting to it's environment, such as us,we change hair and skin types depending on out environment. As dogs domesticated their nose shortened, their fur changed with the weather.Fish have adapted to warm water ,salt or fresh and in some case sharks thrive in river water with no salinity.
You are foul just because of your pompousness, knucklehead.

Creationism is foolish, as you say it ignores everything we understand, scientifically, about how things have come about.
But then, some people are foolish.
I hope none of the tetchy Christians report this question because they disagree.

Sounds like someone's beliefs have been questioned beyond the comfort-zone. Why would you give a monkey's what someone calls you?

How can you say that. Scientificlly speaking, there is just as much evidence for creationism as there is for evolution. Could creationists not say the same about evolutionists? That they ignore our evidence for creationism? How can you tell us to open our eyes, if yours are closed?
