I think so, yes. Maybe that's why shrinks are more common among the unbeliever... But at least a psychologist is a man (or woman) of science. And the hopes they give you are for real.

Maybe so. I do think that some people are in the religion they are in because it was taught to them from a very early age. For as long as I can remember, I have been uncomfortable with organized religion. I tried several in the Christian faith, the Pentecostals sent me over the edge. Never again will I fall for that bible crapola.

Yes indeed. Our Creator designed us with a need to be fulfilled. The only way that the empty space inside of us can be filled is by taking Jesus into our heart. Until we receive him as our personal savior, we will be continually searching in other directions; money, substances, love, sex, recognition, etc. Some people have named this empty space the "Jesus Hole."

Religion is a product of man, brought about to try and keep the inspired words of God, to give to man. how ever, there are many false religions, teachers, prophets, etc..which are a product of satan who wants to decieve man by false miracles, and lies.

Probably. It definitely plays on human insecurities. If you listen to the arguments for religion, they tend to be emotional ploys.

God placed a in us a desire for Him. Therefore, everyone has the "need" for Him engraved in their hearts. Not exactly "psychological", but Hey...
