people want leadership because making decisions for yourself requires that a person is responsible for the bad that may come of it. That is why religion is all-encompassing. People buy into something more if it eliminates personal responsibility.

What may never happen? Like what, death? Yeah, that might possibly not happen.

Most religion is a way of providing, among other things, hope. Hope for death is one of them. Atheism is the rare exception here - death is the end, there is no hope, deal with it. At least one ancient culture viewed this as the ultimate punishment one can suffer.

What gives a religion the right to determine what a person should do every minute of their life? What gives a society the right to make that choice? A Culture? In the end, it is really up to the individual what he or she wants to be a part of. Being a part of a society means abiding by their rules, same with a culture. To think a religion would be any different is... not sensical.

Because religionists seem to think that all the answers to life, the universe, and everything are somehow encompassed within a book (or set of dogma) written by nomads a couple of thousand (or more, depending on what religion you're talking about) years ago--and that no other wisdom is possible or even necessary. They also seem to delude themselves into thinking that morality is dependent upon religion when the opposite seems to be true.

That's just their thing. I ignore their existence (the boring ones anyway) and stay away from religious people. But I believe that religions were intentionally created by ancient rulers to divide, rule and conquer the people. For more info go to davidicke.com I like what he believes based on his research. To you it might seem far fetched. Keep an open mind.

faith is a crutch and the opiate of the masses. besides the undeniable fact that, people who've a faith are often happier and stay longer. As a martial artist i will attest to the certainty that employing one's mind's eye to benefit power does artwork. Thank God for mind's eye, which the clever dressmaker used to create this entire universe.

Religion is when they tell you have to do certain things to please God. Grace is when God has gave you salvation as a free gift. The Lord Jesus Christ died for you sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. He did it all for you. Believe and trust in that and you can have eternal life without being part of a religion. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Religion is man made and therefore flawed. It can be used for evil purposes by evil men.. Religion has no power to save but has much capability to be misused. I faith relationship with Christ is much better. It can't be used for evil purposes and it has the ability to bring salvation... Jim
