Common symptoms of depression are sleeping more than usual, letting yourself go, not bathing, not doing things that you used to enjoy, crying, eating too much or eating too little, and having suicidal thoughts.

Not so common symptoms of depression would be too tired to even talk, isolating yourself from others, staying at home and choosing not to go out and do something (be with friends, go to a movie,etc.).

If you feel that you may be depressed, you need to see a doctor immediately. There are many antidepressant medications which often are very helpful. Vitamins and herbs can help a great deal as well.

I was once severely depressed, and the antidepressant medications prescribed for me did not help. Not until I purchased a book and read about chronic fatigue and took the different vitamins and herbs recommended, did I even start to feeling better. After taking these vitamins and herbs for a couple of months, I started feeling better. After about six months I was cured.

You know, this is the midst of the disillusionment and heartbreak season
and, with the recent outbreak of that suicidal strain of despair up in
Boston, well, you'd better keep a close watch on your emotions. So
remember the seven danger signals of depression; that's a general and
lasting feeling of hope-lessness, inability to concentrate, loss of
self-esteem, fear of rejection, feelings of guilt, misdirected anger,
and extreme dependency on others. At the first sign of these symptoms,
friends, follow these simple rules: keep working, drink as much as
possible, and... take your television's advice. And y'know more TV's
recommend an amazing new psychic breakthrough than any other, and
that's... Confidence in the System. Fast, safe, and guaranteed through
constant Federal control, Confidence in the System will keep THEM in
power longer, longer, longer, and tend to calm and obscure the miseries
of disillusionment and despair. In easy-to-swallow Propaganda form or
new fast-acting Thought Control, that's Confidence in the System. So
have some... today.

well one for starters is the fact that you would rather be isolated than be with friends, another is the fact that you always feel sad, even a time when you know that you should be happy. one that is commonly not associated with depression is the fact that even when you get something that will make you happy, you still tend to be sad, and when people try to cheer you up, you still remain sad or just get even sadder or even angrier. i hope theses help, but if you even think you are experienceing signs of depression you need to contact your physician immediately and hope that they can prescribe something to help.

actually asking what it may be , indicates that the issue in some way is an issue to whom might ask .there fore one must look further to confirm that there might not be denial ,but being what it is , not seeing it cannot confirm it not being there , and quite the opposite !!!
