I'd say let the little things go. But, if her hormones are causing her to act horrible and just plain out of control then that needs to be punished. Letting back talk slide every now and then is fine. Punishing her for little things might cause her to act out even more. But if she is storming around with a terrible attitude then that needs to be dealt with. Grounding, doing extra chores, or taking away computer or tv time are all good punishments for that. Good luck to you and her during her journey with hormones :-)

There are alot of herbal remedies on the market to help with this time. Evening primerose oil is good, you can get it it pill form. Ask your pharmacist about them, there are also teas that help during the "moon cycle". Also St. Johns Wort is good at keeping a "balance" as well. Good luck

--be consistent w/ the consequences for violating the rules.
--talk to her about the hormonal changes she is experiencing but make sure she understands it's no excuse for her behavior.
--talk to her about her diet i.e. foods that may aggravate the situation.
this is an opportunity for her to learn more about her body and take control of herself (including her emotions)
yes, it's a trying time...hang in there for 'it came to pass' ...it will not last forever (hopefully)

No matter what happens, be prepared and don't hesitate to follow through with what you say (diciplinary-wise). Because she's going to use her "hormones" as a tool to get her way.

BE STRICT
Pre adolescent is not adolescent. enforce rules, take things away, ground her, and YES when needed give her a spanking.

take her to an endocrinologist (i think that's how it's spelled). i was out of control at that stage, and if my mom would have taken me, i honestly think i would have turned out different - better.
hormones are something , aren't they.
(know how to make a whore moan? don't pay her. hahahah)
