Whats a highlight that goes well with black hair that would brighten up a face?

Black is a pretty dark colour. Its hard to lift the pigmentation of dyed black hair HOWEVER the saying ''if you go black you never go back'' isnt true. You could lighten your black with a few blonde highlights around the face, thin highlights will give a lightened effect around the face without the colour looking to heavy. As black is a pretty hard colour to lift, and if its on pre-dyed hair.. it can be pretty hard and some people feel it turns gingery when the pigmentation hasnt completly lifted. Try using a pre-lightener and if your home colouring i recomend platinum blonde by live colour. I wouldn't recomend home colouring your hair if you want hightlights as inexpeirence can ruin your hair.

Black is a pretty dark colour and its hard to create a light affect.. It may look abit weird with blonde highlights so i'd recomend leaving it till it fades abit dying it a dark brown if your looking for the dark colour effect and add some subtle highlight tones.
