Lice eat or feed off your scalp and the blood vessels just under the skin. That is why people that get lice have an itchy scalp and develop sores if it is not treated. Lice are parasites. What you see on the hair follicle is the egg sacks.

Lice doesn't damage the hair. It is more of just a nuisance. It spreads very easily and they are very hard to get rid of. Is isn't anything you would want to keep, but it doesn't harm the hair. The itching on the other hand could become very annoying and leave digging marks in the head.

hello, if you have lice then they don't practicaly live in your head they suck your blood and ussally make your hair fall out. You may not believe me, but it's true. Here is some advice for you.
go to the store and buy some stuff for your hair
or put maniosse in your hair and cover it with a bag
BUT DON'T :
don't go to the hair cutters and have them cut your hair because if they do and see that you have lice they will not cut your hair.

Lice just suck the blood out of your head... (funny story) I used to have very long hair and used to get lice from the other kids, my mom once chased me with a razor telling me she was going to shave my head!!!

They don't eat your hair. They make eggs (the nits) which then "hatch" and turn into more lice. The nits attatch onto your hair and the lice are just really gross.
