Before blowing it dry add frizz ease to the ends (weighs the hair down) and spray with a leave in conditioner (also weighs hair down). Using a hair straighter will keep it straighter longer. Keep away from humidity.
All of the moisture from the products help keep humidity in the air from absorbing and causing it to curl. Plus it looks shiny and flowing.

I have curly hair that I straighten a lot. First when you've just washed your hair rub a frizz eliminating serum/lotion. I like the Herbal Essence None of Your Frizzness Lotion. Smells good and cheap... good combo. Then Clip up the top section of hair up and blow dry the bottom with a large paddle brush until bone dry. (be sure to pull the hair taught with the brush while drying). Then do the top section by section in the same manner. After drying, use a good straightening iron. I like tools of the trade irons or mine is vidal sassoon, and it works well. Make sure it has ceramic plates though, it's better for your hair. Then Slide the straightener from root to tip in 2 to 3 inch sections all over your head until all of your hair is smooth and straight. Finish with a shine serum or a finishing cream. Use only a dime size amount or you'll just end up greasy looking.

If your hair is really unruly use align 12 ultra straightening by Redken. It will leave your hair shiny and it will also make the straightening process easy. If it isn't that unruly use straight 05 straightening balm by redken it won't be as strong as the align 12 but if your hair isn't that unruly you should use this one. It will also leave your hair shiny. These products also help protect your hair from some heat that may be applied in the straightening process. I would also use smooth down by redken for shampoo and conditioner. This may cost a little more then department store products but it will make a huge difference in your hair care. It is also a lot more concentrated, so it will last longer then most. Good Luck

flat iron! I have the same problem, except the ends of mine curl out. I have a el cheapo Vidal Sassoon flat iron, turn it on then blow dry your hair, do your makeup (I usually wait for it to heat up about 30 mins) then start at the top and go slow all the way down! flat Irons are the best!

take smaller sub-sections, no larger than on half inch and go slower when gliding down the hair shaft. If you still need more help, then use a straightening serum and shine serum mixed together before you blowdry.

Pull your hair up into thin layers. It helps for better straighting.
