It's most probably a boil. It's caused by staph bacteria that gets under the skin. No one really knows why they form, but its not because you're dirty. They usually form a head in a couple of days and drain out. Yes, it's going to hurt. But they're usually not serious. If a head doesn't form in a couple of days and it gets really swollen, go to the doctor. They will cut it out. trust me, that is sweet relief. You can yahoo a Boil. It will better explain it. It will also lead you to websites that have products that will help your boil heal faster.

According to a doctor here, you can get a boil from using a rusty razor. Only boil I've ever seen looked like a purple zit without a head. If it's an ingrown hair, you can usually see the hair under the skin.

Might be an infected pore. Because of deodorants, pores under the arms can become clogged easily. Soak a rag with warm water and hold it on the area. It will loosen the obstruction and gently try to squeeze the bump.If it doesn't go, try again later.

Probably an ingrown hair, but if it doesn't go away soon, or spreds, or changes size or shape, you should go have it looked at. Might be anything from an allergic reaction to bubonic plague.

Probably an ingrown hair from shaving, or even a pimple. It will probably come to a head and pop, then go away.
