^^

Well people tend to associate God with the sky because the earth is well...earth :P

As for me, yea, Ive been afraid of God many times. Only when I have realized I did something I shouldnt have and it wasnt something small at all. Like loving a human being more than anything...more than God himself. That my friend, is just wrong.

When I was young, around 10 or so, I would have intense fear of thoughts like "What if God doesn't actually exist, and there's nothing after death?" because I knew that God would hear them and send me to Hell. When I was older, I was afraid that God would condemn me for struggling with my faith or being gay. Now, I have realized that being afraid that God will punish you is akin to being afraid that Santa will give you a lump of coal.

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is nothing to fear from the God of all comfort is no discomfort at all, nor from the God of all grace is no law at all; as that God is light having no darkness at all.

However, if one falls for and into the (plural) hands of God on high, it is said to be both a fall and a fearful thing (Heb 10:31).

Pray tell where would one fall from, to fall into the hands of God? Paul tells foolish and bewitched Christians where from in Gal 5:4. Christ is become of no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law: ye are "fallen from grace".

Grace us God: higher than the heavens
Law Law God: on high, in the heavens
Pst - you bind & flush law to get to grace
(die to law, to become alive unto Grace)

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Does that mean u do believe or don't? I fear God because of the control He has over all of us. But if u love Him as you may your father, we can also understand that He does things for our own good. He lets us choose. We have to live & learn then choose Him. Choose to be loving to Him and everyone around us:o]

:-) No, I can remember as a child saying "God, if you exist, strike me down now!" and not for a moment believing that anything would happen... I knew then, and know now, that gods and goddesses are just someone else's religious fantasy.

I use to in sin but now I see He loves me and desires for me to walk in the right path..His love is more than His fear..although I know He is the creator of all things and I know to fear Him in that sense..I love how He shows me His love..
