i have read both the bible and the koran and have read some sciptures from the hindu and sikh faiths, i have also read the confucius analects, the analects do not promote worship of a deity there is no heaven or hell as diffined in the big 3 religions but rather the pursuit of virtue and wisdom should be the goal of all people dosent this make more sense than an omnipotent god watching all of us for all time and sending the unworthy to hell to pay for there evil ways?

I couldn't agree with you more.

Unfortunately, it's evidently more appealing for people to sign up to a 'brand belief' than formulate their own.

Which is fine......until they start killing each other.

As I presently understand things, Confucious way of life is a philoshy. Judaism, Islam, and Christiianity are religions. Judaism, Islam, and Christiianity each teach have the '2 or more witnesses' principle; I sure (in this country presently) the Jews for the most part practice it, I think he Muslims do, but it is not widely practiced/implemented by Christians in this country; therefore one could be confused as to what the Bible says, and what others do.

Wisdom comes from God. Confucious was a fool with a vast knowledge.

Confucious was inspired by God, but the reason it is the only releigion that makes sense to you is that you have not studied the teachings of the LDS church.

What you want to do is just create your own reality. It will last until you die and then you can tell God how you were your own God creating your own dimension.Of course you won't say a word. You'll be on your face scared crapless, before your judgment. But then people like you don't want to be responsible for your actions and be responsible for the free will God has given you.

Practice that religion then. Religion is a personal thing and does not have to be the same for everybody.

Buddhism and Taoism also teach this. I too find that such philosophies make the most sense...

I don't see why you need a god to persue virtue (whatever that may be) or wisdom.

Does your religion demand anything from you that involve people? If it doesn't, then it a useless passion. You might as well meditate on your navel (dirty or not!).
