I asked a previous question here, and recieved mostly positive answers. However, one person said that I must be getting power to heal others form the Devil? I don't believe in the Devil. Why would the Devil heal people? Why can't folks just get along, and accept each other faiths? I accept theirs.

I agree. I think some people may be too narrow minded to understand that God made us, He/She knows us. We are who we are, and He knows what we are capable of. He also knows it is ok for 2 people to look at the same thing differently. I don't believe in the devil either, but I do believe evil exists. I accept your faith.:o]

Does it make sense to believe there is more than one God, or correct religious tradition? Surely if one is right then the others must be wrong. If you just want a form of spirituality in your life, and arent really looking for truth then it might not matter to you. If however you are truly looking for the truth and how to judge between the various religions, here is the main difference.
All of the other religions believe that salvation comes from your good works out weighing your bad works. It might be a good motivation for you to try to live a good life, on the other hand everyone can always excuse their bad habits or actions by saying at least I'm not as bad as someone else. Even in prison, you have convicted murders that say at least their not as bad as a peadophile, or child murderer. Our measure of godliness , holiness or simple goodness should not be measured by whether we can find someone worse then us, but how it compares to an totally Just and Merciful God.
They essentially believe that a merciful God should lower his standards to allow them into heaven, just not the people worse than them. They want to take all of their annoying bad habits and actions into heaven with them. But a heaven where we have to put up with petty crime because they weren't as bad as the killers, or the gossips, or the adulterers isn't heaven anymore. And if God accepted this he couldn't be totally just anymore. Christians have come to the belief that no matter how hard we try, we can reach that sort of perfection on our own. Because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross took the penalty for our sins. God can remain both totally just and merciful. If we accept Jesus sacrifice and dedicate the rest of our lives to living for God and allowing him to change us into what he wants us to be, we can find salvation. The only other way to be acceptable to a completely Just God, would be to live a completely pure and sinless life. The Bible says Jesus is the only one who has managed it so far. If YOU are still completely sinless, your welcome to try to get to heaven on your own, any takers? or you can accept jesus. Its actually pretty good! As for the devil healing, I know that anything that can keep you from God would be the primary motive. God wants you to be healed and live in health but for both God and the devil its the condition of your soul that is the most important thing. Sorry this is so long, I got carried away. :)

You say that you accept my beliefs but in reality you don't- you just cannot change my beliefs. I don't accept your beliefs and anyone that believes other than you and is firm in their belief will not accept your beliefs. I will however 'let you' believe what you want. I cannot make you believe anything and unless you are open to something you won't accept it or believe it if you choose not to.
The same goes the other way. If you accepted what others believed, the belief that your 'healing power' came from the devil would not offend you. I cannot make a judgement about where your powers came from and really no one else can either. My knowing that all healing comes from Jesus and knowing that any other than the one true God is a flse , unreal God, would make me very wary and discerning regarding your healing abilities- If you believe in more than one god then you cannot accept my beliefs. The difference is are you going to try to convince me or not- it has nothing to do with acceptance or tolerance- it has to do with I am confident enough in my beliefs that I don't want to see anyone else in error so I will share the truth with them, your not sharing your beliefs does not mean you accept mine, it just means that you either don't care enough about others to share the truth about your 'gods' or you believe that it doesn't matter what people believe meaning that what you believe is not really truth it just makes you happy.
The difference between me and a lot of other Christians and most atheists or those of other beliefs, is that I will tell you the truth, once - if oyu are interested we can keep talking, if not, I will go on my merry way, and regardless of what I think about your beliefs- I will never disrespect you, insult you, or mock you.
Have a great day

Well, there's always, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me." God considered that the most important commandment at the time. Probably because a thousand slaves he just freed were having a party at the base of the mountain for a gold calf. As for more than one God or Goddess, the Egyptians had hundreds of gods who, I can't find the right word, so I'll say specialized in certain areas. Most people are familiar with Anubis, the jackal, but there are many more. Why can't folks get along? In my opinion, because we have opinions. It's human nature to want to do your own thing.

Christians will 'let' you believe in anything you want, but if it includes more than one God or Goddess, then by definition they will not accept you as a Christian. If you want to join a club, you have to play by the rules. If you don't want to join the club, you can play by any rules you wish. Or you can join another club.
I'll accept people of any faith, as long as it is meaningful to them. And if they don't happen to believe in anything, I'll accept them too, as long as they are basically good people. That means they don't go 'round kicking other people's tamborines. (old folk song reference)

It is not a matter of Christians letting you do something.

There is something about Christianity that needs to be said here.

We believe that what the bible says is true. It is God's Word. He is the one who wrote the rules, Christians follow God's rules....

So the question is, how do we know that the bible is true?
Prophecy is what convinced me that it is true. (Although Creation speaks for itself and there are many other proofs).

Try researching bible prophecy. Look at the truths about the bible that have been dug up by archaeologists. And pray for wisdom. God will reveal Himself to you if you are seriously seeking Him.

Also by studying the bible you will see that the devil is real. Demons are real. The devil has schemes and methods that every one needs to be aware of.

Just because you don't believe doesn't change facts.

If you get to a point where you would like to study the bible and know more about God feel free to email me.

You are an open minded loving individual and it hard to understand the more closed minded people. People of different faiths often do not accept any other possibility because it would be earth shattering to them if they are wrong so it is much easy to poke fun at the other religions. Some of them are honestly trying to save you. You don't need to be saved. Your doing just fine :-) Keep learning and asking question and alway keep your mind open to possibilities. Enjoy your path and stop worrying about everyone else :-)

If you're not a Christian, you have every right to believe in however many gods or godesses you choose. If on the other hand you claim to be a Christian who worships more than one god or godess, then you are in error because a true Christian believes in the Bible which says "The Lord our God is one God." It is incompatible with Christian beliefs to believe in more than one, but perfectly okay if you're not claiming to be a Christian. I respect you for that.

There is only one Supreme God and one Supreme Goddess and all others are their representatives. Though God has many expansions as does the Supreme Goddess Sri Radha but there is one God. Getting along does not mean accepting untruths. It is good to help others come to higher truths. I agree we should not argue though. I just drop it when people do that.
