Humanoids have things that we call finger & toe nails. These are a spin off from the source of our evolution millions or billions of years ago when we would scratch and forage for food.
Religion exists probably as a function of the error in the human evolution and is just a useless fragment still retained whilst we utilise the remainder of the brain for intelligent thought ?..

Evolution would be very difficult to actually prove, in the way this reply is steering to, as all we can deal with is the facts as discovered. Whereas religion cannot be an alternative because in that instance there are no facts at all.

You are absolutely right.
We are animals with a more advanced brain than other animals.
All this religion is man made nonsense from a time when people needed answers to where they came from.
Now that we have scientific evidence that we evolved from other animals we shouldnt be still believing in a lot of fables.

Religion exists because of natural selection. It is almost certainly at least in part the manipulation of the characteristic that causes children to listen without question to their parents.
the process of natural selection would have quickly weeded out those children that did not blindly follow their parents and elders when they where very young. Those that did not listen had a much greater chance of having their lives ended prematurely, before they could pass on their DNA.

jhon i think religion has been made much more complex than it is since it began. one then starts to think of other explanation to the creation of humans. i ask you, the mouse in your palm, who has created that. it makes extreme sense that there is a god and his meduim is religion, we are not animals becuse for the simple fact that we have the power to improve lives for generations to come where as even if animals have done that they are unaware of it, even though our dna's are some how similliar, that is just the blueprints to a soul

Religion is man-made; designed to explain that which man does not understand. Spirituality is inherent within each of us and expressed (or not) in various different ways--depending upon our outlook, our culture, our upbringing, and our personal experience.

Religion is questionable. Faith is not. I know there is a God and through him I try to lead the best life i can.

If I understand your question correctly, I disagree. Our souls live on after our body dies. God has nothing to do with it.
