Well see I'm 15 and i'm planning on going to live with my gf's parents. But my mom is afraid that cuz of this she might have my lil bro taken from her. Is it possible for her to give temporary custody of me to my gf's mother or can she sign a paper givin me permission to live out the house and won't endanger her or my brother?

Why not just go live with your gf without signing custody over. I think it is a risk that your brother could be taken, if she decided she didnt want one of her kids.best of luck to you all

I can just about feel the pain you have. You can go live with your gf's parents and nothing will happen unless you get into trouble or need to take some legal action. It should not endanger your mother or your brother. Why don't you check into counseling that might be available. Check with a school counselor, a minister or child protective offices.

Yes. All your mother has to do is sign over guardianship papers. It's done all the time, and she doesn't lose her parental rights. All it means is that she is allowing someone else to care for you, not that she's a bad mother. I did it myself for a friend of mine who needed help with her two girls, and I kept them for two years without any legal problems whatsoever. Just make sure that important people - your doctors, your school, etc. - are aware, and have copies, of the papers in case of an emergency.

If your under aged and your parents get a divorce or something along those lines, then you will go with a godmother or godfather! If you don't have godparents, you'll go to the next best thing. (Aunts, uncles, ect.) Glad I could help.

IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOUR MOM DID SIGN A PAPER IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. YOU COULD ALSO TALK TO A LAWYER ABOUT THIS. WISHING YOU THE BEST.
