Hence, any response which does not include the word BECAUSE has failed to address the question.

Here is my own answer:
We do not need Christianity and the Bible for morality BECAUSE of the following reasons:
1. We must do good things for their own sake, not because says they are good.
2. Where does God get his morals from? God must have REASONS for exalting some moral prescriptions. These reasons are things that humans can determine for themselves using reason. We do not need someone to tell us the morals. God cannot simply "create" morals out of thin air, because they exist in the world of reason -- something that is independent of God's realm, if he exists.
3. Science CAN help us figure out morals. There are all sorts of mammalian and even non-mammalian species for us to study. It is FACT that monkeys exhibit what we consider to be moral behavior. They work together as a group for the survival of the group. They have no Bible to tell them right from wrong. They have no prophets, yet they are moral anyway.
4. Many atheists live moral lives without God

Christianity is but one of many religions. The moral being of a person does not depend on his/her following a certain religion-------or even following any religion at all. Goodness is for its own being, no matter what beliefs one has.

enable's be sparkling: a million. If each be responsive to the Bible and each coaching of Hinduism are the two the two genuine then that's no longer appropriate what you or i think of. for sure a sovereign and ultimate God prevails over a purely mortal Buddha, sure? So, below the type of scenario, at an analogous time as Buddha's "truths" could be ... genuine, we are able to verify that they are nonetheless beside the point! Or ... positioned yet in any different case. WHO cares with reference to the classes of a mortal guy whilst in comparison with the classes of a divine, eternal God? So ... below this scenario, your ideas, my ideas, and Buddha's ideas are of no consequence. 2. If God isn't actual and if the Bible isn't His divinely inspired be conscious then what particularly concerns? Buddha? LOL! You? LOL! Me? LOL! we are all ... in basic terms ... malicious software ... foodstuff! So, the two there's a God or there is no longer. the two the Bible is God's be conscious or that's no longer. interior the tip, it is all that concerns! Buddha does not remember! it is why Christianity is the main accompanied faith! it is why Jesus Christ is the main influential non secular determine interior the history of the worldwide! it is why the Bible is the main bought, maximum examine, and maximum quoted e book interior the history of the worldwide! i won't think of of a situation wherein Buddha concerns. And regardless of his value interior the worldwide's eyes, it neither will advance or decreases with the aid of fact of your opinion. So, recover from your self and stop attempting to sell irrelevance! Lord bless

Becuase the creator has given us certain guidlines to abide by that he says will keep us from ungodlyness. And it's proven to be true;there's is a steep drop in moral going on;1980 and any time before, they called you a ****** if you were homosexual. While I agree the name calling might be a little harsh,I agree with the general point that homosexuality is wrong and doesnt help

75% of the American population is Christian
75% of the American prison population is Christian
10% of the American population is Atheist
0.2% of the American prison population is Atheist
Apparently, using the bible as a moral code does not work.
Feel free to shove the word "because" in anywhere you'd like.

People do not need any religion or external moral guidance, as all morality is decided upon by humans, and agreed to by society.

people don't need Christianity, but if they want to go to heaven you should want it. Christianity is sometimes viewed as bad but you know what the holy trinity is the most important thing there is. look at the world everything taking place in the middle east today was foretold 2000 years ago by Jesus and by John the disciple of Jesus. our country was founded on God and look how much it grew!

apparently christians need the church and bible for morality because they can't think for themselves and have a need for an invisible higher power to lead and guide them. then there's the whole punishment and reward system they're taught to believe in...that's a story for a different day....

Because Jesus is the Standard. Without him, our world has begun to dwindle down to reprobation. Today's culture is sex-saturated, immoral, and fatherless.
