Cook until the temp is 180? No no no.

Cook your chicken at 350 like the answer said before, but you're not going to have moist chicken if you cook it to 180.

The stuff that can make you sick from chicken will die when the temperature of the chicken reaches 165. However, you don't want to cook the chicken until it's 165. There's something called carryover cooking. When you take your chicken (or whatever you're cooking) out of the oven (pan, etc.) The product still cooks for awhile because it's still hot. So when you're cooking something big that'll need to "rest", like a whole chicken or a roast. Take it out when it's approx. 10 degrees lower than where you actually want it. The carryover cooking will take care of those last few degrees and any germs you're worried about.

I hope this helps!
