NNNNNOOOOO WAY! I love Captain Crunch. Peanut Butter especially!
You must have some kind of an oral allergy. Look it up on the Web. They are real. I get them from Strawberries and Watermelon. But I still eat them!!!!

CC (Captain Crunch is evtremely abrasive
it cannot be eaten without milk
it soaks up saliva like a sponge and then tears the soft lining of the mouth to shreds
If your mouth is tender after you eat CC try soaking your cereals in milk for 20 minutes or so before eating it
rice crispies are similar iun texture but due to their small size they do less harm
why don't you think adults eat captain crunch?

I had to cut way back on eating it because it was tearing the roof of my mouth up too much. The only solution was to let it sit in the bowl so long the stuff was almost mush.
Yeah, try eating a bowl of that and then drink a coke immediately after. Guaranteed to wake you up.
Funny thing is I still love the stuff.

that happens to me all the time. I think its the sugar that does it. once, i wanted some captain crunch, so i poured the milk over the cereal. wat i didn't no was that the milk was sour. Yuck! i took a bite, chew, and thought that captain cruch was different. after a couple more bites, i got a glass of milk, took a swig, and almost threw up! it was the most disgusting thing i ever tasted (besides a california roll)! i no longer trust milk or captain crunch, but i eat both of them. the lesson is: Don't drink two week old milk. (i think it was curdled two)

That happens to me, too. It usually only happens if I eat a lot of it, or if I eat it with milk. This reminds me of the "news article" in the Onion about this! http://www.theonion.com/content/node/32305

I'm not sure why it happens, but it's almost like it leaves a greasy residue in your mouth after it slices the roof of your mouth to pieces from it's crunchiness. Probably the oils that are used in it.

Captain Crunch is probably not as toxic as a steady diet of McDonalds:
