I am due Nov 30th. I was wondering if I could go ahead and file for the child support so I can start recieving it sooner after the child is born?

Only if the father is confirmed...and won`t fight you.

Yes you can file for child support before the child is born. You can also at that time file for at least part of the medical/hospital bills be paid for by the father as well.

Unfortunately for you, I don't think so. I think the rules say that the child has to have a social security number before you can collect child support.

Generally you could not get child support for an unborn child, however, you could file for WIC and other free programs. they will prepare the necessary paperwork ahead, so when your child is born, the support order is set to begin.

No. You have to have a birth certificate to collect child support. You can get the paperwork and start filling it out if it makes you feel better.

If you have the funds, check with an attorney in your area. If you don't have money, try Legal Aide or the Dept. of Social and Health Services.

I think you can start the paperwork, but you may have to wait for $$ if he insists on A DNA test.

No i think you have to wait til its born. That way if the susposed father questions that he is .. they will do tests on the child

Um..I dont think so. You would have to have a child to collect child support. You dont have one yet.
