And certainly We created man of clay that

The Bible Song of Solomon 1:5-6
How right they are to adore you!
Dark am I, yet lovely,
O daughters of Jerusalem,
dark like the tents of Kedar,
like the tent curtains of Solomon.
Do not stare at me because I am dark,
because I am darkened by the sun.

The Bible Revelation 1:13-15
And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. Only Africans and their descendants will agree with you right away and there are paleontological findings that claim that the first humanoids appeared in Africa.
But... remember the Bible is of Judaic origin. Jews assumed they (and all men and women) were created to God's image. Consequently, they believed that Adam and Eve had to be of their appearance as God's creation and as the parents of mankind.
Here is where the hypothesis of creation has a bad beginning. According to Bible scholars, history is only 6-7 thousand years old. Honestly, there is no convincing explanation nor evidence, from a biblical point of view, to account for the existence of different races. Forget it, in 60-70 centuries mankind would not have had the capacity of changing skin color and other bodily features just because of the climate. The only theory defenders of the book of Genesis could use to justify such a diversity is to admit that there were Adams and Eves of every color of skin we have today.
Now, if God did really make the first man out of clay, Adam would have to be of the same color of the clay the LORD used. So, that would be another mystery. What was the color of the original clay used to mold the first man?
On the other hand, forget all the previous considerations, if we accept that the Garden of Eden (according to Genesis) was located between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (somewhere in between Syria, Iraq or Iran), that would mean that Adam and Eve would have had an Arabic appearance. In any case, NOT WHITE.

Adam and eve are very true. so is Noah. red and yellow black and white came later. the tower of babel caused god to send people their different ways with the creation of new languages because they were doing something quite wrong together.

the human race is a species that has proved to be very adaptable to the environment. take a look around at all the different features on people. now look at the countries they came from and the environmental elements their bodies must deal with. and when they have adjusted to these elements long enough the amendments are embedded into their gene pool. thus red and yellow black and white.

I'm a christian. that is not to say that I'm religious. Christianity is for all people. religion is another form of segregation (my church is better than yours and such). many people are gifted enough to understand the holy bible as it needs to be understood what with translations abounding and all.

i do admire science and the people with that knowledge which may help humanity. but it seems that science is so imperfect in that with every good invention comes the side effects (good or bad) how ever many. I've grown old enough to be cynical (a practise that strikes a bit of fear in me) so with this in mind let me iterate the old adage "man is his own worst enemy"

i don't believe that what i think is etched in stone. Shakespeare once wrote "there are more things in heaven and earth than are imagined in your philosophy" and you know......i concur

We don't actually know what they would have looked like, except that the Bible records that they were created "in the image of God, male and female created he them".

We don't even know where the Garden of Eden was, except that the ancient Euphrates is said to have originated near there, along with three other rivers whose names I haven't been able to really track back to a geographic local.

What we do know from the written and archeological records of the period is that there were dark skinned peoples by the time that Moses rolls around in history, with some scholars thinking that it was Ham's wife (Egyptus?) that carried the darkened skin genetically from another ancestor, perhaps Cain if that was how what the curse was which was imposed after he killed Abel.

If I were trying to answer this question in a non-biblical manner, I would see if there is any research that shows how "mitochondrial Eve" (a known fact that there is one human female progenitor to all humans now on the earth, because of the matching DNA markers) might have looked based on the commonalities between all of the races.

If Adam & Eve were true, they could not possibly be of African appearance as the Bible clearly states they came from Eden.
