I was on sparkpeople.com and they said, among other sites, that you should vary how much you eat. If you stop losing weight after a while, change it up. Eat a few hundred more, and you should start losing weight again. You should always change it up, but keep it low... I'd say between 1200 and 1500 cals a day. Maybe do around 1200 for a few days, then around 1350 for a few, then 1500, etc. It's up to you, but if you keep on consuming the same number of calories, your body will get used to it and it'll stop losing weight.

Good luck!

Although I'm not a doctor, some people call me a fountain of random knowledge. According to the printed material found at the Bodies Exhibit here in Las Vegas, a good rule of thumb is that if you consume 1500 calories more than your body needs, you will gain 1 pound. If you consume 1500 calories less than what your body needs, you will lose 1 pound. There are websites where you can enter your age, height, weight and physical activity level and get a fairly accurate estimate of what your daily calorie intake should be. And I highly doubt it would be possible to eat the exact same amount of calories each day.

Your calorie intake is directly connected to your weight loss.

You can vary each day, but the scale will show the variances so don't freak out if some days you're not losing very much.

Right. You can cut calories and burn some each day. I wrote a GREAT article on this here http://www.healthandstrength.net/qofweek.htm it is a really good article for you to read. It will put calorie intake into perspective and give you ideas on how you can tweak your diet to lose weight. I lost alot of weight...you can see my before and after picture here http://www.healthandstrength.net. I eat ALOT of veggies, at every meal, drink alot of water and exercise. I sleep before 10pm every night and I DO NOT eat sugar. Eat foods low in calories http://www.healthandstrength.net/tenfoods.htm and with time and consistency, you will lose weight!

Of course not. You will lose weight if the amount of calories consumed is less than is necessary to maintain weight.
