The houses of worship are pretty much social clubs in a lot of cases, but some people enjoy the fellowship of those who believe along their lines.

The building is not important. Prayer can take place anywhere. However, all three religions believe that their adherents should get together from time to time and worship communally. Churches, mosques and synagogues serve as a centre for communal prayer.
Churches, mosques and synagogues are not designed for the practice of religious discrimination. Each denomination has its own form of worship and people go to the one they feel most comfortable with. There are churches and mosques who meet in town halls and in people's homes.

Just imagine Jews, Christians and Muslims meeting at the town hall to worship. LOL!!!!!
Although the three major religions worship the same God, there are differences mostly because of different traditions. It is normal to see people with the same agenda meeting together. The building of churches for worship goes back a long way; it's a human thing.

In Islam, men go to the mosque to hear the preacher. We ordinary people are ignorant of many aspects of our religion. Moreover, meeting many people who come for the same purpose will create a bond between them. The rich will pray with the poor, will learn to be humble, as he cannot ask the poor to move away. Is there anything better than people feeling the brotherhood of man? If this is the case all over the world, there will be no wars.

The One True God who is The same God who made a covenant with Abraham to found The Nation of Israel has absolutly nothing to to with islam.... NOTHING...
I can only speak concerning the edifaces erected by those calling themselves Christians... the fancier they are the greater the egos involved... while all of The true Christian Faith are insructed not to forsake gathering togeather, all of the fancy is not needed... infact smaller is better... Accourding to The Head of The Church, Jesus The Christ, wherever two or more are gathered in His name that is where The Church is... but it is nice to have a gathering place where smallish congrigations can gather to share our experiences and asist each other in our studies...There are many Home churches throughout the world... and many that meet in many different kinds of otherwise unused buildings...I have "gone to church" in more than one truck stop parking lot...

Firstly I dont' believe that the christian god and the muslim god are the same. They don't even ask the same things of their followers.
As to worshipping, yes I can worship anywhere in many ways and God truly does hear it all. But Jesus clearly came to establish a church, the bible calls us members of one body who come together to experience god, use spiritual gifts to build each other up, and to show the love of christ to the world as we go out in mission, locally or globally.

Very intelligent question. Because when one is still on the religious platform then they can only understand God from the teachings and the form they believe in. When one understands the unlimitedness of God they can see Him everywhere and situated in everyones heart. But that is a rare soul and one has to be careful not to become a Mayavadi Thinking everything is all one we are all God etc. That will not help anyone. Though it is good to gather together to enlighten one another about the unlimited qualities, names forms and pastimes of God. Go to www. stephen-knapp.com get more universal information about God

Anyone can pray anywhere. I am a Jew, and I have prayed in a Mosque. But, I do feel funny praying in a church, tho, as their concept of Jesus is not all like mine.
One of the things I like about a synagogue is the feeling of community, of belonging to a people, a history, and the togetherness. We pray, yes---but it is a feel of community standing together in the presence of G-d.

The reason we assemble ourselves in churches, synagogues, and mosques is first because the Bible says for us not to fosake the assembling of ourselves. which means we need to assemble together with other believers, for prayer, support, and because the Word of God says so.If there is no church bulding then you could use a hut, town hall, ect little is much if the Lord is in it. And yes He can hear your prayers anywhere, Jesus went to church, you know. If you have other questions I will do my best to answer them

1.The three religions are not the same
2.Tchnically that's true;I myself will pray almost anywhere or anythime. But a lot of people have trapped themselves and gotten into a rut by thinking that they have to be in a building to praise God;which is not true. You can be anywhere and pray cuase God does hears you.You could be way out on pluto and God hears. It's you. It's really a condition of people hearts and understanding as to where they choose to pray.
