Jesus' followers in Acts 11 it says the following:
11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
Christians are followers of Christ, in Acts 4 it also says the following:
4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
4:11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Christ is a title from the greek meaning "annointed" and Jesus was not referred as such during his mission.

The real founder of "Christianity" is Paul who wrote 23 of the 27 books in the new testament.

For example, when it comes to the Torah or the "law" that refers to things such as the prohibition on eating pork and being circumcised, Jesus said:
Matthew 5:17-18 (New International Version)
17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

The teachings of Paul abolished these observances that even Jesus adhered to eg. being circumcised and not eating pork
Romans 10:4
Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

While most will attribute Christianity to Jesus, Christianity as it has been and is practiced today, by a multitude of Christianities, is derived primarily
from the teachings of Paul.
I assert that if Jesus was a living entity today he would be appalled at what various Christians claim
as religion in his name.
Consider reading books by Professor Bart Ehrman to get a realistic take on Christianity and
the new testament.

the real founder of Christianity is probably St Paul, he was the one that went around telling of the message of Jesus. Everyone says that it's Jesus, but he didn't start a religion, he (allegedly) went around telling people how to live their lives.

It wasn't until St Paul started writing his letters and travelling around that the message of Christ was changed into a religion.

Some people believe that Jesus was in fact an anti Roman terrorist, hence why he was crucified, a typically Roman execution. Some translations of the dead sea scrolls call St Paul The false prophet and that he changed the true message of Jesus, which was against anything roman, into one of love thy neighbour.

Not as daft a question as it seems. Christ was a devout Jew. I think his bother James wanted to exclude gentiles and keep Christs church in Jewish form. Paul argued all should be included and based his church in Rome whilst Jame's church remained in Jerusalem. But the person who made it global in the present form, as a christian institution, was the Roman emperor Constantine and he was a pagan right up to just before he died. I'm sure I'm open to a lot of flack but that's how I read it..

If Christianity is simply the belief that Christ is the Son of God and died for the sins of humanity, then that would indeed be Christ and his disciples. If you're asking who founded the original Christian Church, again, that would be the Disciples. If you're asking about a specific demonination, well... that can get a lot more complicated.

The Romans, especially the Emperor Constantine, created it as a unifying belief system to bring together the diverse elements in the Roman Empire. This is why the Vatican is in Rome to this day. The church hierarchy, with its' bishops and arch-bishops, and cathedrals, Popes and Cardinals, has almost no connection with the teachings of Jesus. Jesus told people not to pray in vane repetitions - ie prayers learned by heart, but to pray with their own inspired words. He gave them a little example of such a prayer, which the Church calls the "Lord's Prayer", and in their foolishness have made it into the greatest of vane repetitions. He also told them not to pray in synagogues (churches), but to enter into communion with God in quiet meditation in secret. He told people to turn the other cheek to the enemy who had slapped their face, and to a thief who has taken your coat to give him your shirt too, and if a man should compel you to walk a mile with him to walk another mile freely, and to judge not lest ye be judged, and that he who is without sin may cast the first stone. Yet the hierarchy of the church tortured people and burned them alive, because they did not follow its doctrines, and to impose their power and authority on the people through their ecclesiastic terrorism..

Christianity and the Church as we know it today, is a monster created by Medieval politics, and was not created by Jesus. Anyone who wants to be a follower of Jesus, should read his "sermon on the mount", and try to understand it. "Do not clothe yourself in thought" - put aside intellectualism, that the clergy are so fond of. and "do not worry about the future for it is bad enough to waste your time thinking about today." "Have faith that the creator will provide, as he does even for the flowers in the field and the sparrows in the hedgerow."

Jesus,
but long before Jesus, God told his people that there would be a savior to come. ther is a lot written about Jesus' coming in the book of Isaiah.

God had planned to send down Jesus to save us from our sins back before sin even existed.

Jesus knew that he was the savior when he was 12 years old!
