Have you ever had an experience in which you believed you were visited by someone who has passed away?

If you have, what was it like? Were you hoping they would visit you? Or were you surprised?

i am a medium so that kinda speaks for itself ( but those spirits are for others not me )
but besides that yes i have had visits from my gran , friend and dad
my mum also has many dreams about my dad that have proven to have messages in them
and last night my nephew heard my dad call my mums name
there are more , these are just a few examples

The thing that was strange was it was about 4 years after my Father died.Totally unexpected.I was leaving for work at 4:00 am as usual(for the last 30 years,21 yrs at that time),I always step out of the bedroom into the pitch black hall and close the door then turn on the hall light,so as not wake my wife.The light panel has 3 switches it is not small,but my hand could not find it.Suddenly I felt someone behind me,then pass as if through me,it was a very electrical and unpleasant feeling.The bedroom next to ours is a spare,like a toy room for the kids.They have a toy phone that says "Bye-Bye" only when you hold the star and the pound keys at the same time.As I struggled to find the switch ,that's what the phone said in the next room.I found the switch turned it on,stood for a second,then went into the room,nothing there.All this took place in about 5 seconds.My Dad retired from the Telephone Company after 42 years .I knew it was him and he never came back,I guess he found his way.

Yes I have had several of these experiences; but it is not like the movies. I just feel the spirit and sometimes I know who it is and sometimes I don't. I usually find the room I am in dropping in temperature, if it is a positive energy I usually also feeling a very loving comforting type feeling. Then I usually feel a part of my body being touched by the spirit. Usually my hands but when my ex mother in law came to comfort me before I lost my son she placed her enegry on my lap. Not sure why but I felt she want to comfort me. through dreams and experience I was basically being told I was strong enough to handle this experience. However it was the experiences of my son that was the most overwelming. Basically telling to me let go and that we had completed a karmatic experience that we both agreed on.

Yes, I think my grandma has visited me several times. I also beleive my aunt who died of cancer has visited me in dreams as well as other family members. In the case of my grandma, I was hoping for a visit and expecting one, as for my aunt I was suprised. All experiences were nice and not scary at all. I almost felt a warmth over me during each experience. I hope I experience this many, many more times...

Yes. My step sister died suddenly 2 wks after her 18th birthday, I was totally destroyed for quite a while and every year on the anniversary of her death or her birthday I would just fall apart. The one thing that I kept of hers was the music box that had a clown in it and when you opened the drawer it played send in the clowns. We used to play with it when I would get home at night after a date. We always laughed at the clown and how it moved around. I have kep the music box and never played it or wound it since I put it in my hutch on the top shelf in the back. Well about 3 or 4 years ago one night after dinner my husband was in the computer room and I was in the living room watching TV and the kids were in their room playing.... the music box started playing by itself. Granted this was about 1 week after the anniversary of my sisters death. That year was not so hard when her anniversary came and went, I actually felt okay not so destroyed. Needless to say my husband got the chills all over and goosebumps.. me too... but I think Jenny was trying to tell me it was okay.

My cat Tasha died suddenly of a stoke one day while I was at school. A few days later I had a dream about her. In the dream I knew she had passed away, so I was shocked to see her. It was the most vivid dream I have ever had. I felt the texture of her fur and smelled her scent clear as day.
