Contact Samaritan's Purse. They give out shoe boxes to be filled with toys, candy, or anything that a child would love to receive. They then send these boxes all over the world to children that would not otherwise ever receive a gift. This is a great project that schools can take on. Many local churches are involved in this as well, contact one of your local churches.

volunteering at a local elementary school and assisting children with their reading skills. there are so many children who have issues with reading. If you are unable to read you are unable to really learn well, and this causes issues all through life. Sometimes all it takes is one person to show some interest in the child to get them interested in reading. God bless.

if there is an animal shelter in your community you can contact them to see if they need any volunteers or you can volunteer at a nursing home or hospital . or you could pick up trash in the city parks. you name it and you can do it
