why cant we have fast lanes in the uk like the californians do in america. its called carpool. in rush hour they have fast lanes for cars with two or more passengers travelling in one car. this is a good idea as most drivers are travelling alone. (1 person per car)
this would work well here in the uk.

ps, plus its saving the environment .

I'm not so certain it's a good idea. The vast majority of people still travel in the regular lanes and I suspect that the average journey takes much longer when one lane is closed to most traffic. They should encourage car pooling, but they don't seem to. The cheating rate can be as high as 50% too. More recently the Californian car pool lanes have been filling up with single occupant hybrids, to the extent that some sections run no faster than the regular lanes,

IT'S A GOOD IDEA. SOME PEOPLE GO SO FAR AS TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE THEY REALLY DO HAVE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR.

We do have them in the uk, they have them in Leeds
