In the early earth in Gen 6 there was a group who laughed at Noah also, God did destroy the earth and will one more time, but that IS NOT what God is returning for, For God "SO" loved the world that He gave [Jesus the second member of the Godhead gave Himself] that whosoever [you] should BE-LIVE in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. The big guys gone a bit PC these days. In the old testament days much more fire and flood, remember Noah et al?
I guess if you believe in the omnipotent God then by definition he can do anything.
Me and the boys just recon it more fun to watch His creation destroy His world.

He definitely could. But He already did destroy it with the great flood when Noah was alive--that is a true story.

God has visited destruction on mankind many times in the past. Not sure when the next episode will be but we must be pissing him off somewhat terrible at the moment.
