fruits, vegetables, whole grains, high protein foods, things that are low in fat. things like corn, potatoes, bananas, beans, whole grain breads, oat meal, apples, fish (like fresh salmon, tuna, haddock), lean cuts of chicken or turkey, low fat dairy such as low fat yogurt or low fat cottage cheese or low fat milk (fat free almost always has artificial sweeteners such as splenda and its debated if these are healthy), although high in fat a hand full of nuts is suppose to be healthy such as walnuts, almonds, or pecans (unsalted, un-sugared or anything else added to them), peanut butter also can be healthy (look for natural peanut butter with out the hydrogenated oil....i know they separate try keeping the can upside down so the oil is at the bottom when you open it.)

1 days diet- Breakfast- Bowl of cereal, skimmed milk, fruit juice, wholemeal toast. Lunch- Jacket potato with low fat cottage cheese and a side salad, fruit yoghurt. Evening meal- Chicken breast fillet with steamed carrots, broccoli, baby corn, cabbage. Wholemeal muffin with jam. Snacks- banana, raisins, fromage frais.
You need to make sure you have a healthy balance of protein, carbohydrate, fats, fibre, vitamins and water. Good foods include: Wholemeal bread, potatoes, meat or fish (2 portions of oily fish a week), plenty fruit and vegetables of all kinds (peppers are excellent for vitamin C), water, cheese. Try to use monounsaturated fats as these are the best type to have. Saturated fat is bad!!!!
