I'm not offended--but you are presuming that what you believe is somehow absolute fact. It isn't.
Imagine me saying to you: Ra the Sun god is the only way to eternal life. You need to acknowledge him and pay obeisance to him so that you can have a good afterlife. Who cares if I'm wrong? If I'm right then you can have good things after you die. Acknowledge Ra the sun god right now, just in case.
It sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn't it? Now read yours again and see why we "hell-bound" unbelievers get annoyed.

If you think just saying the prayer will save you, and not believing it you're sadly mistaken. And, basically everyone's soul is their own business. Not saying that you should not spread the word that you believe in, that's what your supposed to do. However there is a difference between spreading the word to someone who wants to hear it and forcing it on someone who doesn't. Basically that's just wasting your time, and driving them further away if they are not ready to hear.

you call that an offer? that's a THREAT--you don't love me, you don't even know me, you just want me to agree with every idiotic thing you say. If you loved me you would care what I thought, felt and believed in instead of trying to change me--you are such a hypocrite and liar--if you are really going to heaven I would rather go to hell, just because I wouldn't want to take the chance on having to put up with you

Thank you. I wish for you to also have Life after Death. It's not offensive to me that you offer Salvation through Christ. But offering my Life to Christ 'just in case you are right', as you say, is not an option. That is comparable to being a Muslim, forsaking Allah, and giving my Life to Christ 'just in case'. No thank you.
(See you on the other side.)

Unfortunatley...people are scared away because when they are approached by a lot of Christians, they talk about Jesus like he's a Vacuum cleaner or a bar of soap. Something they are selling!! They are selling Jesus and all the other things that come with it!
It's a sad fact, but it is very true!

If I don't believe in God (I think God is not real) then what do those words actually mean?
The offensive thing is the assumption you make - that we already believe in God - when we do not believe in God. You are asking us to lie - to mouth words that have no meaning to us. Asking us to say something that we don't think is true, no matter how good your motives, is bound to be offensive.
What will you get out of it if an Atheist says your prayer? The words have to mean something, don't they?

just because you believe that god is such a narcissistic asshole that he needs our constant worship and acknowledgement or else we will be condemned doesn't mean that you are right (because believe is not knowing) nor does it mean that everyone else is going to take your word for it; we get offended because you are pushing your beliefs on us so stop it - its not convincing
even in the event that you are right i still wouldn't do it because if god is such an *** that he would condemn me to hell for using the free will he gave me then i would rather go there and be with like minded people then have anything to do with him and people like you

I don't believe in all that, however i thought it was supposed to be up to this so called "god" to decide who goes to "heaven",and not another person. Seems to me alot of christians seem to be taking it onto themselves to tell other people whether or not they are going to "heaven" or "hell". Doesn't in say in the bible its wrong to do that? Who are you some self appointed god?

Darkness is always put out by light. So it is offended, you see. Satan doesn't want people to have the light of salvation that you offer through Jesus Christ.
Make sure that you are working in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and you will shine in your witness.
Don't forget that your battle is not with flesh and blood but with principalities and powers.
Also, it is a bit more than 2 seconds, it is a lifetime. Salvation is instantaneous, but we walk out our salvation with fear and trembling.
be blessed, and I WILL see you in heaven.

People get offended because you don't have the power to offer them heaven. You sound silly when you act as if it's up to you in order for them to get in.
